Plough Blessing at Kirkby Malzeard which is probably our favourite dance out. The service was conducted by the Bishop of Ripon, John Methuen. Our dancing went very well. We thought about beheading the Bishop but as he had been involved in some controversy recently we decided against it and beheaded Alan Skidmore, the Mayor of Harrogate.
After the service we had a meal at the Henry Jenkins.

Quite a windy day but mild when we met at the Grantley Arms. The pub was full of diners when arrived, very few of them came outside to watch. Hugh danced in the first time which was going ok till I called the wrong figure and missed out double over. This threw our concentration and the lock took ages.
We moved on to the Market Cross at Kirkby, Keith danced in and the dance seemed to go better. We beheaded Angela Bodey. Then moved on to the top end of the village and did a short version of the dance and beheaded Anette who was with her sister and parents. We collected £5.70 off the sizeable crowd.
Then we danced outside the Henry Jenkins to a very small crowd, the pub seemed busy so we moved on to the Drovers at Dallowgill. In the fading light we danced again with Keith in at number 1 and Hugh at 3. Went well and we beheaded Janet West.
